The Morning Star Church of Christ is a continuum PENTECOSTAL mode of worship and recognizes the following as the fundamental principles of our doctrine and government:

  • The Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God and an excellent rule for faith, life, and unity of the Christian Church in North America and world wide.
  • The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. II Timothy 3:16‑17; II Peter 1:19‑21.
  • To exist and to participate fully in God’s work and to share with others the gift of God’s love through our worship, witness, and life together.

Pentecostalism places emphasis on a direct personal experience and relationship with God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The term Pentecostal is derived from the Pentecost, a Greek term describing the Jewish Feast of Weeks. For Christians, this event commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the followers of Jesus Christ, as described in Acts 2:1-21. We, the Pentecostals tend to see our movement as reflecting the same kind of spiritual power, worship styles, and teachings that were found in the early church.

Theologically, the MSCC emphasizes the authenticity of the Bible and the need to transform an individual’s life through faith in Jesus Christ. MSCC generally adhere to the doctrine of biblical inerrancy and believing that the Bible has definitive legitimacy in matters of faith. The MSCC believes salvation comes by Grace through faith in Christ and obedience to his command to be “born of water and of the Spirit” as in John 3:5.

We hope you would return to our website soon, as we are daily transforming and developing the contents of the site. Therefore, as the website evolves, expect dynamic changes to the contents and the structures.
